** വെള്ളിയൂര്‍: **പേരാമ്പ്ര ഏരിയയില്‍ കര്‍ഷക കമ്യൂണിസ്റ്റ് പ്രസ്ഥാനം കെട്ടിപടുക്കുന്നതില്‍ നിര്‍ണായകമായ പങ്ക് വഹിച്ച മുതിര്‍ന്ന സിപിഐ (എം) നേതാവായിരുന്ന എം.കെ ചെക്കോട്ടിയുടെ രണ്ടാം ചരമവാര്‍ഷിക ദിനം ആചരിച്ചു.

വീട്ടുവളപ്പിലെ സ്മൃതി മണ്ഡപത്തില്‍ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങില്‍ മുന്‍ എംഎല്‍എ എ.കെ പത്മനാഭന്‍ പാതക ഉയര്‍ത്തി. അഡ്വ. കെ കെ രാജന്‍ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു.

സിപിഐ (എം) സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറിയേറ്റ് അംഗം ടി.പി രാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ അനുസ്മരണ പ്രഭാഷണം നടത്തി. എ.കെ ബാലന്‍, എം. കുഞ്ഞമ്മദ്, പി.എന്‍ ശാരദ, കെ.കെ ഹനീഫ, എടവന സുരേന്ദ്രന്‍ എന്നിവര്‍ സംസാരിച്ചു.

നിപ നിയന്ത്രണം മൂലം പ്രകടനവും പൊതുസമ്മേളനവും ഇല്ലാതെയാണ് അനുസ്മരണ പരിപാടി നടത്തിയത്.
