**പേരാമ്പ്ര :** കോഴിക്കോട് ബാലുശ്ശേരി പാതയില്‍ ബസ് സ്‌കൂട്ടറില്‍ ഇടിച്ച് ദമ്പതികള്‍ മരിച്ചു. കക്കോടി കുഴക്കുമിറി എന്‍. ഷൈജു , ഭാര്യ ജിമ എന്നിവര്‍ക്കാണ് ദാരുണാന്ത്യം. ഇരുവരും സംഭവ സ്ഥലത്തു തന്നെ മരിച്ചു.

കോഴിക്കോട് ഡി.ഡി ഓഫീസിലെ പ്യൂണാണ് ഷൈജു. ദേശീയ പാത ബൈപാസില്‍ വേങ്ങേരിക്കും മലാപ്പറമ്പിനും ഇടയിലാണ് സംഭവം.

ഷൈജുവിന് ചികിത്സാവശ്യാര്‍ഥം ആശുപത്രിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ടതായിരുന്നു ദമ്പതികള്‍ എന്നാണ് വിവരം. ഇവര്‍ക്ക് 13, 11 വയസുകളുള്ള രണ്ട് മക്കളുണ്ട്.
