ഇന്ന് ഉച്ചയോടെ കൂട്ടാലിടയ്ക്ക് സമീപം പൂനത്ത് ഉദ്ദേശം 30 അടി താഴ്ചയുളള കിണറ്റില്‍ വീണ കുനിക്കാട്ട് ബാലകൃഷ്ണന്‍ നായരുടെ ഗര്‍ഭിണിയായ പശുവിനെയാണ് അഗ്‌നിരക്ഷാസേന രക്ഷിച്ചത്.

പേരാമ്പ്ര അഗ്‌നിരക്ഷാനിലയത്തിലെ അസി.സ്റ്റേഷന്‍ ഓഫീസ്സര്‍ പി.സി. പ്രേമന്റെയും സ്റ്റേഷന്‍ ഓഫീസ്സര്‍ സി.പി. ഗിരീശന്റെയും നേതൃത്ത്വത്തില്‍ ഫയര്‍ ആന്റ്  റെസ്‌ക്യു ഓഫീസ്സര്‍ എസ്.കെ. റിതിന്‍ കിണറ്റിലിറങ്ങി പശുവിനെ സുരക്ഷിതമായി പുറത്തെടുത്തു.
